A Canvas for Family Joy

สวนแห่งนี้เป็นพื้นที่ภายนอกรอบบ้านพักอาศัยของครอบครัวที่มีเด็กน้อยผู้หลงรักการเล่นน้ำเป็นชีวิตจิตใจ เจ้าของสวนจึงให้ความสำคัญกับการออกแบบสวนที่สามารถรองรับกิจกรรมของเด็กๆ ได้อย่างปลอดภัย ขณะเดียวกันก็ยังคงความสวยงาม และตอบโจทย์การใช้งานของผู้ใหญ่ รวมถึงการใช้ชีวิตร่วมกันของครอบครัวในระยะยาว

The Gentle Ground is an outdoor landscape designed for a family home with young children who delight in water play. From the beginning, the garden owner envisioned an exterior space that could safely support children’s activities, while remaining graceful and functional for adults over many years.

Material & Balance

แนวคิดการออกแบบเริ่มต้นจากการจัดพื้นที่รอบบ้าน เลือกใช้ hardscape เป็นหลักในโซนทางเดิน เพื่อให้ดูแลรักษาง่ายและทนต่อสภาพอากาศของภาคใต้ที่มีทั้งฝนและแดดจัด พร้อมแซมพรรณไม้เพื่อลดความแข็งของวัสดุ เมื่อเดินเข้าสู่สวนด้านข้าง จะพบ shelter ขนาดเล็กที่มี fixed bench และบ่อน้ำขนาดย่อม สร้างบรรยากาศผ่อนคลายก่อนเข้าสู่พื้นที่หลัก

The design process began with holistic planning. Circulation paths are primarily defined by hardscape for durability in the southern climate. Carefully placed planting softens the material palette. Upon entering the side garden, a small shelter with a fixed bench and subtle water feature emerges as the first pause before moving deeper.

The Living Shelter

เส้นทางของสวนจะนำไปสู่ living shelter ขนาดใหญ่ที่ยกระดับพื้นขึ้นเพื่อสร้างพื้นที่นั่งแบบหย่อนขาได้อย่างสบาย ตัว shelter ถูกออกแบบให้บาง เบา และโปร่ง เปิดมุมมองต่อเนื่องไปยังสระว่ายน้ำ และสามารถเปิดประตูจากตัวบ้านแล้วเข้าถึงพื้นที่สวนและสระได้ทันที ทำให้พื้นที่ใช้ชีวิตในบ้านและสวนเชื่อมต่อกันอย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ

The pathway leads to a larger living shelter, slightly elevated to create relaxed seating. Designed to feel light, refined, and open, the shelter features a lean structural language that frames views toward the swimming pool. With doors opening directly from the house, the garden and interior merge seamlessly.

กิ่งก้านใบออกแบบสระว่ายน้ำในสเกลที่เหมาะกับเด็กเล็ก ขณะเดียวกันผู้ใหญ่ก็สามารถแช่ตัวร่วมกับเด็กๆ ได้ รอบสระมี patio กว้างสำหรับจัดงานวันเกิดหรืองานสันทนาการอื่นๆ

The swimming pool is designed at a scale suited for young children, with a wide patio for celebrations and gatherings.

Education & Imagination

พื้นที่ภายใน shelter ถูกออกแบบโดยมีเด็กเป็นศูนย์กลาง ทำหน้าที่เป็นห้องอ่านหนังสือที่มีชั้นหนังสือขนาดใหญ่รองรับจินตนาการผ่านการอ่าน ภายในยังมีห้องน้ำและอ่างอาบน้ำที่เชื่อมต่อกับสวน เพื่อให้เด็กๆ สามารถสนุกกับน้ำได้แม้ในวันที่ฝนตก

Inside the shelter, the design centers on the child. The space functions as a lounge and reading room. A bathroom connected to the garden allows water play to continue even on rainy days, extending freedom beyond the pool itself.

Waterfall & The Fox Symbol

ผนังน้ำตกด้านหลังออกแบบให้สอดรับกับบริบทใกล้ป่ายางและภูเขา โดยมีลักษณะคล้ายสายน้ำธรรมชาติ ไหลลงสู่สระอย่างอ่อนโยน พร้อมประติมากรรมสุนัขจิ้งจอกสองตัว ซึ่งเปรียบเสมือนตัวแทนของเด็กๆ และสื่อถึงพื้นที่ที่ปลอดภัย สงบ และเป็นมิตรกับครอบครัว

The waterfall wall at the rear resembles a natural stream inspired by rubber plantations and nearby hills. Two fox sculptures are integrated, symbolizing the children and reinforcing the garden as a safe, peaceful, and nurturing environment.

Softscape & Shadow Play

การเลือกพรรณไม้พิจารณาอย่างละเอียด โดยเฉพาะต้นไม้ทรงโค้งที่รับกับเส้นสายของพื้นที่นั่ง โทนสีดอกไม้ใช้โทนอุ่น เช่น ชมพู ส้ม และเหลือง ช่วยเติมชีวิตชีวา หลังคา shelter ใช้ระแนงอลูมิเนียมกรองแสงแดด สร้างเงาเส้นบางๆ ที่ทอดต่อเนื่องไปยังผนังน้ำตกอย่างเป็นจังหวะ

Plant selection includes gently curved tree forms that respond to seating lines. Warm-toned flowers introduce delicate layers of color. The aluminum slats of the roof filter sunlight into linear shadows that move rhythmically across the ground.

The Gentle Ground จึงไม่ใช่เพียงพื้นที่เล่นน้ำของเด็กๆ แต่เป็นงานออกแบบที่สะท้อนความใส่ใจในชีวิตครอบครัว ความปลอดภัย และการเติบโตของสมาชิกทุกคนในบ้าน ภายใต้เอกลักษณ์ของกิ่งก้านใบที่เน้นความเรียบง่ายแต่ครบครัน
