Even though not in Bangkok, one can still own Ginggaanbai garden by using our Design Service , just like “Gingsite1912: The Vibe of Selection” in Chiang Mai. The challenge of designing ‘The Vibe of Selection’ was to revamp the garden to be more functional and cohesive. The goal was to turn the old garden into a more engaging, modern, and seamless outdoor space while maintaining its simple, unified ambiance. This created a functional yet beautiful retreat. Given that the house is adjacent to a lake with a view of the mountains, Ginggaanbai expanded each area through detailed design, ensuring consistency in mood and tone throughout the garden. The layout moves from public to private spaces, adding a subtle feeling of exclusivity and privacy. In the parking area, Ginggaanbai installed a thoughtfully designed garden gate to provide privacy, while allowing a view through to the laundry area, helping to screen the view and divide the space. The welcome patio was an extension of the existing porch to create a more functional and welcoming space. The outdoor furniture serves various purposes, from greeting visitors to enjoying a cup of coffee or simply relaxing in the garden. Ginggaanbai designed this space like a small pavilion next to the house, equipped with lighting and a fan for added comfort. A private corner for the homeowners’ daughter features a swing tucked between the main house and the guest pavilion by the pool. This placement allows parents to keep an eye on their child while enjoying the views from the large windows of the main house. The highlight of the garden is the poolside pavilion, surrounded by two large trees that provide privacy while adding an element of surprise as guests enter this zone. The long bench next to the pool is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the lake view. The design connects with the guest pavilion, which was previously an open space but has been transformed into an enclosed, air-conditioned room for more convenience, while still able to open up to the outdoors. The swimming pool underwent a makeover, featuring an overflow wall and new tile work inside the pool, adding more charm and detail. The guest pavilion now serves as a closed space for dining or working, offering views of the pool and lake, enhancing relaxation and enjoyment. To make the most of the space, a compact herb garden was added, with curved planters that help create a seamless flow in the narrow area. The design of The Vibe of Selection emphasizes the use of dark gray tones combined with white, with natural wood accents, such as the round wooden columns supporting the roof. These elements add rhythm and softness to the hard scape. The integrated lighting on the column tops adds a calming ambiance. The overflow wall detail features overlapping layers of concrete, adding interest to the space. Ginggaanbai cleverly concealed the supports for the large trees underground or used hidden anchors, ensuring that nothing interferes with the garden’s atmosphere. “The Vibe of Selection” is more than just a garden. It adds value to the homeowners’ daily lives, creating a relaxing space where they can connect with nature and share good vibes with their loved ones.
