GGB2190: The Blumis Axis For GGB2190, The Blumis Axis, Ginggaanbai set out to create a garden design that conveys the meaning of love and family bonds through a space that feels warm and full of life. This modern garden was designed to enrich the time spent together by a couple and their school-aged daughter, with the key challenge being to transform the space into a beautiful retreat that also reflects the family’s fondness for the colors of blooming flowers.

The inspiration came from the word bloom, symbolizing both the blossoming of flowers and the growth of happiness within the family. The idea of a “layer of flowers” was translated into gentle curves, seen in the edging of planters and the form of the pavilion pillars, connecting both vertical and horizontal lines. These soft, flowing curves not only make the modern garden more lively and captivating but also echo the natural forms of flowers in a harmonious way.

The garden layout was thoughtfully planned to ensure that every angle feels balanced and complete. From the welcoming view at the front to the curved lines along the walkway from the parking area, each detail was designed to gently guide the eyes inward, making every step feel continuous and natural.

At the heart of the design is a waterfall that brings freshness and a relaxing atmosphere. The curved line of the waterfall’s edge creates depth and movement, while freestanding stone furniture adds a natural yet stylish touch, blending seamlessly into the setting. Although the space is not very large, the designers chose palm trees with airy forms to create the illusion of openness and width. Overhead, a steel structure supports the trees, demonstrating how hardscape and greenery can coexist sustainably and elegantly.

Every small element was crafted with care. A decorative wall lined with herringbone-patterned mosaic tiles adds a playful accent, while planters arranged at varying heights introduce rhythm and visual interest, especially when viewed from the dining area.

This modern garden is more than just a landscaped space, it is a carefully designed sanctuary where beauty, connection, and happiness blossom together in every corner of family life.
