Sapphire, known for its strength and value, symbolizes wisdom and the tranquility of a unified mind. This concept was seamlessly blended into the garden design, creating a space that embraces warmth, connectivity, and serenity, wrapped in beauty. Starting with the shape and tone of the house in a Modern Classic style, which has limited space, the garden owner desired an area for relaxing and spending quality time with family on weekends and during free time. They also wanted a relaxation corner to enjoy together. Therefore, Ginggaanbai used vertical lines to make the space feel larger, and incorporated natural materials such as stone and wood into the design. In terms of green space, Ginggaanbai carefully arranged plant positions and shades to blend the outdoor atmosphere with the garden, creating a feeling of closeness to nature even when indoors. The garden is divided into two main areas to meet the various needs of the owner: a communal area for family activities and a private zone for solitude. In the first area, Ginggaanbai designed a space for the mother but also made it open for family time. The vegetable garden not only grows produce for meals but also fosters creative time. A convenient hand-washing station is positioned, and a short walk reveals a koi pond and waterfall that provide soothing water sounds, adding a serene atmosphere and drawing the eye towards the private zone, which is separated by decorative walls. The highlight of this garden design is its spatial management. Ginggaanbai utilized dynamic space techniques to create a sense of movement and enhance the perception of openness in the limited area. The spreading branches of the olive tree embrace the simple, joyful space, while the flowing water and lush greenery harmonize perfectly, making the Sapphire Embrace garden a place of valuable and enduring happiness.
